Walking in Super Abundant Grace!

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17).

The word “grace” is from the Greek word “Charis”, which means the bestowal of divine gifts. It also means to be endowed with the presence of God. That means God has given Himself to you, thereby giving you all that He has. Grace is that glory of God that works within you that causes you to achieve things ordinary men can’t achieve, and causes you to be divinely favoured everywhere you go.

The opening scripture lets us know that grace has been made available to you in superabundance; there’s a superfluity of grace upon your life. No wonder the Bible says, “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace” (John 1:16). We’ve received grace heaped upon grace. This grace will favour you this year and open doors of blessings and opportunities for you and bring the beauty of the Spirit into your life. Amen!

In this year of Favour, you must learn to recognize and take advantage of the grace that’s in Christ Jesus, and your life will be an unending stream of the supernatural. The grace to excel, succeed and prosper in all you do has already been bestowed on you. Therefore, you ought to face life this year with the mentality of the champion that you are; go forth today, and win! Face the future with confidence, knowing that the Lord has encompassed you with favour, even as with a shield (Psalm 5:12).

As you step out today, say to yourself, “I’m the favoured of the Lord; the grace of God that causes increase, promotion, progress and advancement has been superabundantly bestowed upon me. Therefore, I walk in divine favour today!” Brothers and sisters, this is the year to recognize and take advantage of the grace of God that has been multiplied unto you. I declare that that shield of favour will cause the glory of God to be revealed in you and through you throughout 2013, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen! Hallelujah!

Grace - The Power of Promotion!

“For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south” (Psalm 75:6).

Promotion, the Bible says, doesn’t come from the east, west, or south, but from God. The Lord delights in promoting His kids; that is, taking them from one level to a higher level in every aspect of their lives. He detests stagnation and retrogression; that’s why He wants you to make progress and move forward in this year 2013. The Bible says, “…the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The exciting thing about favour is that its promotion defies human logic and awes the natural mind. This year is your set time to experience supernatural promotion.

As a child of God, you need to understand that God’s grace is upon you and that grace is your power for promotion. Hallelujah! You’ve been born into favor, into the “forward and upward” life; you ought to keep experiencing supernatural promotions in every area of your life. Check out the man Joseph in the Bible, He was sold by his brothers into Egypt as a slave. Potiphar’s wife lied against him, and he was eventually incarcerated in Pharaoh’s dungeon. Yet, that grace (the power of promotion) working in him moved him from the prison house to being the Prime Minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-40). Everyday throughout this year is an opportunity for you to experience promotion because 2013 is the set time for you to apprehend that higher level that God has prepared for you! There’s room for you at the top, so take it!

This year, God is going to use seemingly unfavorable situations, which ordinarily should have led to your disadvantage as the very means for your promotion because you’re His favored child. Humble yourself; be diligent in your work and in all that you do, and by the Spirit of God, you’ll keep experiencing supernatural promotions. This is your hour to stand out from the crowd and sparkle for the Lord! Never forget this, 2013 is the set time for God to promote and exalt you because it is your year of Favor. Praise the Lord!

We Are God’s Righteous Ones!

“For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him”. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

One of the truths that the Holy Spirit would like us to internalize this year in other to experience favour is that we have the righteousness of Christ. The believer who was born again yesterday and the one who’s been born again forty years have the same righteousness. This righteousness is God’s righteousness which was imparted to your spirit as a gift: “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ”. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life “(Romans 5:17-18.

The moment you were born again, you received God’s own righteousness. We’re now called His righteous ones. We’re as righteous as He is righteous. This is the reason no Christian can be more righteous than the other. We all received the same righteousness, and according to the Bible we received it as a gift.

For the one who is not born again, it’s no use trying to impress God with works of self-righteousness because the Bible says such “…righteousnesses are as filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6). This is why He chose to give us His own righteousness. As a born again child of God, you have God’s righteousness and you’re as righteous as God is righteous. Accept this truth, and let it dominate your thinking and it’ll give you confidence and boldness.

Being conscious that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus gives you mastery over the devil and his accusations. It makes you a champion in life for the Bible declares that they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life as kings (Romans 5:17). This is how you should think and walk in the year of Favour.

Being Righteousness Conscious

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

If you’re born again, not only has God given you righteousness as a gift, you’ve actually also become His righteousness. That means you’ve received that nature of God that gives you boldness in His presence, and dominion over the forces of darkness. Therefore, sin is no longer an inhibiting factor, for Jesus completely dealt with the issue of sin.

However, the challenge a lot of people face is that even though sin is no longer a factor, they’ve chosen to be sin-conscious instead of being righteousness-conscious. “Sin-consciousness” is just as negative in its effect as sin itself. Sin-consciousness hinders your faith. For example, if a Christian who is sin-conscious makes a mistake, he’ll keep grinding himself over and over, feeling bad. The more he does this, the weaker his faith becomes. That he did something wrong is not the problem; his problem is he is more conscious of sin than of his righteousness.

On the other hand, if the Christian who is righteousness-conscious makes the same mistake, his heart will be sorrowful, but he’ll take the Word which says “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). As soon as he has asked for forgiveness, he receives it and that’s it. He gets up from there ready to continue walking in faith. Hallelujah! Notice that the two men did the same thing wrong, but it’s their different consciousnesses that consequently affect their faith-walk.

In this year of Favour, you must become more righteousness-conscious, for you’re as righteous as Jesus is! Nothing shall be able to separate you from the Father’s best when you operate with a righteousness consciousness. I urge you today, do not let the consciousness of sin destroy your faith in this year of blessings. God has a lot in store for you. He has said that it’s your to be favoured and He has placed unprecedented favour along your path this year. Finally, understand that God sees your heart and knows it’s your heart’s desire to please Him always. So, go forth and experience abundance of favour in Jesus name, Amen!

A New Life of Righteousness

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Some people interpret the portion of the Bible that says, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10) to mean all men are not righteous, whereas Jesus came into this world in order to make a righteous creation out of the unrighteous man. He died once, so that every man who hitherto was unrighteous could believe in Him and become righteous. In other words, the statement, “no one is righteous” is of the past; it doesn’t apply anymore in the New Testament.

Some people would boldly say, “I’m a sinner”, without realizing that the death and resurrection of Jesus has freed them from the bondage of sin. As a born again child of God, you’re no longer a sinner but a saint. In his epistle to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul addressed the saints in Philippi: “to all the saints of Christ Jesus which are at Philippi…’ (Philippians 1:1), meaning the death of Jesus Christ has not only made us free from sin, but has made us saints as well! It has brought us into a new life of righteousness. Glory to God!

Righteousness is the nature of God that gives a man the ability to stand in the presence of God without any sense of guilt, inferiority or condemnation. It gives a man right standing with God, and the ability to do right. This is the nature you have as a believer in Christ. Consequently, your lifestyle ought to reflect the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost throughout this year.

Before His death on the cross, Jesus declared that it was finished. In essence, He meant that troubles and toiling were finished upon this earth. The fruitless journey of seeking to be righteous by your own good works has ended. With the gift of righteousness bequeathed to us through His death, an intimate relationship with God is guaranteed. We’re no longer ruled by the law. Now that you’re born again, you’re free from the law and its consequences, and have come into a new life of righteousness.

In this year of Favour, I urge you to let that righteousness reign through you. Give expression to the righteousness of Christ in you. Make up your mind to be all God has made you. There’s nothing in this world that will stop you from being all that God has made you to be, and it shall be so. Amen.

Thought For Today! Qualified By Grace For God’s Best!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”. (Ephesians 1:3)

Some folks have the idea that God blesses them when they live right, but withholds His blessing when they’ve done wrong. So all the time they’re looking into their lives to settle any “scores” they think they have with God, so they’ll `deserve’ His blessing. That’s wrong. God doesn’t bless you for doing well; neither does He withhold His blessing if you aren’t living right. The reason for this is that when you were born again, you were saved by Grace and was blessed with all spiritual blessings! The Spirit of God wants you to know today that grace not works qualified you for God’s best.

God has already blessed you with every blessing that exists in Christ, and He left nothing out. Health, prosperity, victory, success, joy, peace and every blessing you can imagine are already in you. They became your possession the moment you were born again. What you should do now is give thanks unto the Father, who has made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12).

So, if for example, you were feeling pain in your body and you’ve prayed expecting healing, but it looks like nothing has changed, don’t say “Oh, maybe it’s because of something I did wrong.” That’s the wrong mindset! Healing is your birthright as a child of God. God already healed you over two thousand years ago, therefore it’s too late for Him not to! This is the reality of the gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. In this year of favour, you need to meditate consciously on the fact that you’ve been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ by grace. Since the lesser is included in the greater, all the physical blessings you require to enjoy life are wrapped up in the spiritual blessings, so you actually have all that you need. This is why the Bible says “…His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3).
There’s absolutely nothing that is lacking in you, but it is only through your knowledge of this grace that you can begin to walk in the light of your God-given inheritance.

The Grace To Reign In Life

“For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17).

Grace means more than unmerited favor. The word “grace” is from the Greek word “Charis“, which means the bestowal of divine gifts. It also means to be endowed with the presence of God. That means God has given Himself to you, thereby giving you all that He has! That is what grace signifies, and according to the Bible, we’ve been given that grace in abundance to enable us reign in life.

Notice the Bible didn’t say, “They which are given the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life,” because we’ve all been given grace in abundance: the grace of God that brings salvation (wholeness, preservation, health, peace, deliverance, safety, security, prosperity etc.) has appeared unto all men (Titus 2:11). The question then is, have you received that grace? It’s those who have received the abundance of grace that’ll reign in life. And this is the will of God for you this year.

Righteousness is a function of God’s grace. It’s not something you work for. It’s a gift given to you by God. It’s got nothing to do with the right or wrong things you did or didn’t do: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). Notice the Bible didn’t say, “They which receive abundance of grace shall reign in Heaven,” but that they shall reign in life. We’ve been translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son, where we reign and rule with Him. You have dominion over the devil. No wonder Paul told Timothy to take advantage of this grace (2 Timothy 2:1); it’s the grace to reign, rule and dominate the devil, sickness, disease, the world and its systems.

God has already bestowed on you abundance of grace; receive that grace today and begin to reign in the realm of life throughout 2013! Become conscious that God’s abundant grace surrounds you as a shield. You must take with you this consciousness everywhere you go and bring it into all that you do this year. Praise the Lord!
